On an unbeatable August Day, Alexis and Mike tied the knot at a picture perfect country club just outside of Boston. Originally from Long Island, but now a Bostonian, Alexis is known for her food blog (and cookbook!) by the name of Lexi’s Clean Kitchen. I was so glad that they asked me to come up for their wedding!
We were fortunate to have really beautiful spots for portraits and also for the getting ready spot. The bridesmaids got ready at Alexis’s house. They all wore denim while getting their hair and makeup done and it coordinated really well for photos! Grandma and Mom were there too.
Once every was ready, we did a nice first look. The first look was really cool and the pictures came out really great. Everyone was so excited, but I had to hold them back some so I could do my thing and keep them out of the first look photos!
Side Note: Despite being avid dog lovers, their golden retriever had to miss the ceremony and festivites. His over enthusiasm would have ruined the attire!
Once things got rolling, it was onto the ceremony. They did a Ketubah signing (Jewish wedding license) and the rabbi sang them a song. It was a nice traditional touch and very moving.
The reception was in a barn-like structure that was essentially all windows. This was very challenging to light without it looking like you’re in an orange arena, but I was happy with the results.
