Allie + Nate

You never quite know how a couple will come into your life.  Because for me, I enjoy having a relationship with them before, during, and after the wedding is over.  One night I was working and my dear friend Stephen, also working, introduced me to his sister and fiance Allie and Nate.  We hit it off right away and some time later they approached me to be their photographer.  Naturally, I was overjoyed because they are both really great and I felt honored they wanted me to photograph their big day.

Both their ceremony and reception were at Houston Hall in NYC.  They both got ready at the very cool Dream Hotel (Downtown), which made for a great photo backdrop as they got ready for the day.  Both Allie and Nate looked amazing and very sharp! They had a comfortable and classic bridal style that photographed well. The getting ready photos came out really beautiful.

Their ceremony was short and sweet, led by the very lovely Sheryl Baker, focusing on the task at hand which was getting these two married!

The reception was a lot of fun. They had a ton of friends there and it showed–the dance floor was the place to be! Their DJ, Graham Masser, was awesome and created a relaxed vibe.

Their wedding had the coolest vibe overall. A rustic Brooklyn-like reception, but in Manhattan. It was in a beer hall, and exuded modern and fun!

The brides mother is no longer with us and it was clear that she was missed and thought of. She was honored at various points. You can tell that she was the real matriarch of the family.  The father of the bride also had his moment though– his speech was awesome and very touching.
