Eadaoin and Darren, an Intimate New York City wedding

Eadaoin (pronounced Eden) and Darren came over from Limerick, Ireland to be married in New York City.  Like many, they have a love affair with NYC!  The cool thing about this couple is that Darren is also a wedding photographer back home in Ireland!  And he waited to tell me this until his wedding day?!!!???  Way to put a guy on the spot!

They were married at Ladies Pavilion in Central Park by the cool Reverend Will Mercer.  We’ve worked together plenty of times and he always brings a fun flair to the ceremony.  They also had a fun tenor saxophone player who they met earlier in the week come and provide some great live jazz to the scene…  While most of the foliage had been blown off the trees by Superstorm Sandy by this time, we were lucky enough to find a few trees around the city that still had some color left.  I love seeking that out as it really makes the park look romantic!

One of my favorite places to bring couples during the holiday season is Rockefeller Center and the Christmas Tree.  It’s really the best part of the city in December!  While we were there we took a quick walk downstairs in Rockefeller Center to the dining/shopping concourse to get a bottle of water.  But when we walked past the pizza shop we all looked at one another and said “yeah lets get pizza!”  I love when that happens!  It was great too (I had a white slice) 🙂  Soon after we headed over to the Ice Rink at Bryant Park, which is also super romantic, and then finally to Times Square!  We bumped into a very very very special guest; The Dark Knight himself, Batman!  How fun!!!
