Sarah and Stu came over from to be married in the city and I’m so glad they contacted me. As a gift for her husband-to-be, Sarah bought Stuart a 2-hour lesson with me 🙂 I love teaching, so this was an absolute blast for me!!! It also gave me the chance to meet both the bride and groom before their actual wedding, something I don’t always get to do.
The weather wasn’t the best it’s been but it wasn’t cold, so it made the rain a bit more bearable. All in all however, it rained right up until the end of the ceremony, which meant we had a nice amount of time for portraits that weren’t in the rain! Perfect timing! I love shooting in the rain too because there’s no telling what you’ll get once you add rain into the mix!
I loved being with Sarah and Stu on their wedding day. They truly love one another and have such a zest for life that it made me feel great too!
I was blown away when Sarah posted the following comment on a chat board in the UK….

I can highly recommend Brian for your wedding photography! We only have small families and wanted to do something momentous for our big day that we would remember for the rest of our lives as not just a day but a special and intimate experience!
Brian had been really accommodating already helping me to set-up a “lesson” gift for my fiance who is a photographer but really wants to up his game and learn from a truly inspiring and hugely talented photographer. Brian was only too happy and produced a cute printable gift voucher for me to give to my fiance before we flew to give him an idea of what to expect.
Before the guys headed off for their lesson, Brian sat with us both and went through the details for the big day and ideas for locations to shoot in any weather – he wasn’t put off by the rain at all as he is a professional and dedicated photographer.
So on the day of the wedding, I first saw Brian when he came up to the room to do the shots of the dress and getting ready and I hardly noticed he was there he was so discrete and polite whilst I got ready. He also really made me laugh which settled those last minute nerves. We had light rain on the morning of the wedding into the beginning of the afternoon but I was inspired by Brian to wear my shiny black wellies and use our black umbrellas to really make the most of New York (rain or no rain!). We were lucky that the rain died off during the ceremony which we had at the Ladies Pavilion in Central Park which is under cover and a beautiful setting looking across The Lake over the trees to the beautiful skyline of Central Park South and beyond. It really did take my breath away! Brian again worked very discretely and captured some really beautiful and memorable moments during our ceremony, as well as the details that we had brought together.
After the ceremony, Brian led us to the Bethesda Fountain and through the park for some really scenic photos which were really vibrant and beautiful with the green of the park.
We also went to our chosen locations Grand Central Terminal and Times Square where Brian was again so lovely and accommodating as we stopped at Earth Cam to wave to family and friends back in the UK. We didn’t feel rushed at any time, instead we felt really relaxed and important.
We even shared our huge wedding cupcake with Brian because since meeting him he really has become a very special friend and not just another supplier. We have a lot of time, respect and admiration for him and his absolutely beautiful images!
I would be more than happy to email and share pictures with anyone who is thinking of going abroad to get married or who has already decided on New York. The city is the most beautiful and exciting city I have ever been to – it was our first time to the city but I am so glad we didn’t take a prior trip as it would have lost that initial charm and excitement of discovering somewhere new and somewhere that we will return to many times throughout our lives because the city and Brian are now in our hearts.
If you want to make a friend instead of an acquaintance, find a caring and friendly photographer who really puts his whole heart and soul into capturing the true beauty and feeling of your big day instead of someone who just clicks a couple of times and leaves when his time is up, get fabulous pictures that all your friends will go crazy for and have “the time of your life” to discover it isn’t just a cliche but a real experience – then Brian is your man!!!!
Brian – we love ya man – you are forever in our hearts and our door is always open when you visit!
Email me if you would like to see pictures or chat more… xxxxxxx@live.co.uk It was an honour to have met such a wonderful talent as Brian.

Hi Brian
Thanks for holding off on the blog until the grand unvailing at our Liverpool wedding, we had such a great time and the day flew by as quickly as the day in New York did (still we can’t complain not many people get 2 wedding days). Well what can I say, the pictures went down a storm everybody loved them and was commenting on them and asking who had done them for us and how we found you!!! It was really fun watching peoples faces as they saw them being projected up nice and big. So who knows we may have inspired a few of our friends to tie the knot in NYC – and if they do I’m pretty sure you will be the first thing on their list to book.
Thanks again Brian you are a leg end – ha
Love the rain shots!
