Tip Tuesday: Get A Little High

…no, not like that. I mean, not judging or anything… Anyway! Today’s tip gives you the secret to flattering portraits: Get a little high!

Getting a little higher than the subject so that the he/she is looking up at you elongates the face and neck and is an effective way to get rid of double chins and the like. (Not that Melissa Paris of Melissa Paris Fitness has one!)  Don’t get too much higher than the subject because it’ll look obvious; a single “step” does the trick! I love this little handy step stool from Bed Bath and Beyond!

Looking up at the camera opens the eyes and elongates the face and neck.
